Blob, whose actual name is Fred Dukes, is a powerful mutant with the capacity to increase his mass and density, making him virtually invulnerable. His individuality and moral compass are far from perfect. Blob is usually depicted as a bully, a brute, and a person who is more concerned with his own passions than the health of others. This, incorporated with his affiliation with the Brotherhood, a group recognized for its destructive and anti-human tendencies, makes him an unlikely candidate for an enchanting partner for Rogue.
