Several of the junior team members and trainees had been able to take the controls for a brief period. New England to New York was too short a trip for much flight training. At least not in an aircraft capable of Mach 4.

As the X-kids filed out of the Blackbird, they found a woman waiting for them at the end of the ramp. She wasn’t wearing any sort of uniform or costume, so Kitty assumed she was a normal. Support staff or something.
